Admission 

All tickets must be booked and paid for in advance. This can be done via the website up to 15 mins before the start of a class, or workshop, over the phone or in person at any point during our opening hours. We do not hold reservations for classes or workshops. 

On arrival, all participants must sign in at the ticket office, physical tickets are not required. 

Payment methods 

Dance City accepts payment in cash, debit or credit card or valid Dance City gift vouchers. Cheques are no longer accepted. We do not accept American Express. After payment, you will receive email confirmation if a valid email address has been provided. 

There is no transaction fee for booking tickets. 

Refunds and Exchanges 

We can offer a refund or exchange 24 hours before classes, or on the day for members, if you can no longer attend. Workshops require 1 week cancellation notice. Refunds will be processed back to the original method of payment, or you can opt for Dance City credit to your account instead.

Late Arrivals 

Dance City reserves the right to refuse entry to a class or workshop where the warm up time has been missed. This is usually 10 minutes into the class or workshop. 

Health & Safety 

It is your sole responsibility to ensure you are physically and medically fit to take part in any activities at Dance City. 

The teacher and Dance City reserves the right to ask a person to leave the class should we deem you not physically or medically able to participate. 

Filming & Photography 

We may film or take photographs during your class or workshop for publicity and promotional materials and opportunities, for print, online or broadcast.  We will notify you in advance should this be taking place, and you will be required to complete a consent form. There is an option for you to opt out should you wish. 

Prices 

All Dance City classes and workshops are clearly priced before the point of sale. Dance City reserves the right to change the price of tickets 

Smoking 

Smoking is not permitted in any area of Dance City at any time.

Late Arrivals 

Every effort will be made to admit latecomers as soon as a suitable break occurs during the performance, but admission is not guaranteed. 

Babies and Toddlers 

For most performances, children over the age of 2 years must pay for a separate seat. Children under the age of 2 years are permitted free entry provided they are seated on a parent’s knee.  

All children, regardless of age, must have their own tickets and seat for certain performances, where the performance is aimed at younger children.

If this may involve audience members being within the photos or footage you will be required to complete a consent form. There is an option for you to opt out should you wish.

General

All sales are issued subject to the Terms and Conditions of Dance City (Dance North Ltd).

It is the customer’s responsibility to check bookings for errors. Mistakes cannot always be rectified later. 

In the event of an event or activity being cancelled or postponed, Dance City will make every effort to inform customers of the change. Customers must leave a contact number or email address when booking, so they can be made aware of any changes. 

Dance City reserves the right to refuse admission or to eject customers in reasonable circumstances (for example taking health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account). 

The management may on occasions have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons. 

Dance City reserves the right to cancel ticket bookings that it reasonably suspects to have been made fraudulently. 

Tickets are sold subject to the Management’s right to alter or vary the programme due to performances or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.  

If a ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than Dance City or one of its authorised sub-agents, it may be voided and the holder may be refused entry to, required to exit from and / or banned / excluded from Dance City. 

Gift vouchers can be purchased online and at Ticket Office. Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable. Gift Vouchers are valid for 24 months from date of purchase.

The unauthorized use of photographic and recording equipment is prohibited. 

Dance City cannot accept responsibility for any personal property that may have been left in the building. 

Patrons should be advised that official merchandise is usually only available inside the Dance City building. 

All customers must comply with all relevant statutes, safety announcements and regulations whilst within the Dance City building. Breach of any of these conditions or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall enable the venue or performance management to eject the customer from the building. 

Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person. Dance City reserves the right to cancel tickets purchased in excess of this number. 

Children, school parties and those in need of special care are the responsibility of their parents, guardians, teachers or carers who must ensure appropriate behaviour is followed in the venue. Failure may result in the customers being refused entry to, or required to leave the venue. 

The Management reserves the right to alter, suspend or remove ticket prices, price bands, concessions, discounts and availability without prior notice. This does not affect your statutory rights. 

All discounts and promotions are subject to availability, are price-band specific and are subject to pre-set eligibility criteria (as defined at point of promotion). Only one discount is applicable per ticket. 

All forms of Dance City credit, including but not limited to: Complimentary Vouchers and Gift Vouchers are time-limited. It is the ticket holder’s responsibility to ensure they are aware of this period. Ask at Point of Purchase for details. 

Any liability that the company and its officers, directors, agents and employees may have to ticket holders under any circumstances will be limited to the greater of (a) the total amount expended by the individual ticket holder with Dance City (excluding authorized sub-agents) during the transaction giving rise to the claim; or (b) £100.  

Customers acknowledge that they are responsible for the payment of ticket/s and/or any loss or damage they may cause at Dance City and/or third parties it may act on behalf of. 

To the fullest extent permissible in law, Dance City shall be entitled to assign any of its rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions. 

None of the terms of this Agreement may be relied upon or enforced under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by any third party that is not a party to this Agreement. 

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the invalid or unenforceable provision shall be severed or amended in such a manner as to render the rest of the provision/s and remainder of the Agreement valid or enforceable. 

Dance City reserves the right to alter or amend these terms and conditions without prior notification. 

Dance City reserve the right to change or withdraw the membership scheme at any time. Terms and conditions apply to scheme benefits. All benefits apply within a valid membership period.

Adult membership holders must be aged 18 or over. Young Person’s membership holders must be aged under 18. I.D. may be requested at point of sign up or attendance at Dance City.

With regards to class and workshop bookings, memberships can only be used to book 1x space.

Theatre Programme Discount: Available on new purchases made within a valid membership period. Not available in conjunction with any other offer, and no cash alternative. Available on selected performances only, Dance City reserve the right to select, change, update or withdraw performances from eligibility list at any time. A full list of eligible shows is available on request. Discount available at a maximum of 10%, discount only available on full price tickets. Up to four tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate per performance per member.

Free Invite to an Event: Offer is limited to one free ticket per member to an event of Dance City’s selection throughout the year. No cash alternative. Additional tickets may be available to purchase. Members will be informed of this invitation via email. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure their contact email address is up-to-date.

Adult Member Class Price: Members are eligible to book any 60 minute dance class at a reduced rate of £7.50 (Full price £10.00) and any 90 minute dance class at a reduced rate of £10.00 (Full price £13.50). Not available in conjunction with any other offer, and no cash alternative. Dance City reserves the right to change these prices in line with changes to the full price list.

Young Member Class Price: Members are eligible to book any 60 minute dance class at a reduced rate of £6.75 (Full price £8.75). Not available in conjunction with any other offer, and no cash alternative. Dance City reserves the right to change these prices in line with changes to the full price list.

Early Bird Class Booking: Offer allows access to a priority booking period for public classes of up to 14 days. Dance City reserves the right to change the length of this period. During this period only a discount of 5% will be applied to the members class price. Not available in conjunction with any other offer, and no cash alternative.

Discount at The Seven Bridges: Offer allows a 10% discount at The Seven Bridges on food and beverages. Offer does not apply to Deliveroo orders, external catering or catering packages attached to a room hire at Dance City. Not available in conjunction with any other offer, and no cash alternative.

Refunds: Offers applies to class bookings only. Members are eligible for a refund if they cancel on the same day as the booked class (usual notice period required is 24 hours). Refunds can be processed back to the original payment method or credited to a Dance City account.

Dance City reserves the right to alter or amend these terms and conditions without prior notification.

Dance City reserves the right to immediately cancel an individual’s membership if these terms and conditions are breached.
