About
RE:FRESH North East – A scratch platform for dance, produced by Moving Art Management (local, independent producers).
FRESH North East is back! After a long pause…it’s time for a RE: FRESH!
Sadly, due to COVID the FRESH North East scratch platform at Dance City in March was cancelled at short notice. Moving Art Management have been working hard behind the scenes to find a way to get back on stage and give local artists a chance to showcase their work and receive a package of artist support – a monetary bursary and professional photography and film of their work - which in times like these are now needed more than ever.
Join us in the Theatre on Thursday 29 October 2020, 6pm – 7.30pm.
The evening features: new work in progress by:
o Catherine Muckle
o Rob Anderson
o Uncaged Aerial
o Dora Rubenstein & Jane Park
o Chris Fonseca
FRESH North East is a scratch platform where the region's talented dancers and choreographers share their latest creations in an informal studio setting, and receive feedback from an audience dedicated to supporting the development of quality new work. Each event is an exciting mix of new ‘works in progress’ with a variety of dance styles, ideas and creative expression by a diverse group of makers.
Capacity is limited to 25 tickets.
Groups can be no more than six from the same household/bubble. Bookings will close at 1pm on Thursday 29 October to ensure enough time for organisers to safely prepare the facilities.
The event is BSL interpreted and our Theatre is wheelchair accessible.
Strict COVID secure protocols will be in place throughout the event to ensure artists and audience safety including hand sanitisers, compulsory face coverings and socially distanced seating allocations. You can find out more information here - https://www.dancecity.co.uk/new-covid-rules-newcastle/
This event is supported by Arts Council England and Dance City.
