They strongly believe that the arts should be a right not a privilege and that learning in the performing arts can give people invaluable tools for life; it can build confidence, improve self-esteem and empower people to overcome great difficulties. This is a unique time to join Wac Arts with the appointment of a new Chief Executive as it transitions from being a founder led organisation and moves forward the Board’s work of the last two and a half years. They are looking for a member of the senior team, to work closely with the Chief Executive as part of their leadership team, who is an experienced and dynamic professional with a love, commitment and experience of inclusive education for young people.
They are looking for a visionary and strategic candidate who will play a key role in defining and developing the future history and success of Wac Arts artistically. The Director of Programmes will proactively work to enhance and raise the profile of the organisation, being a public spokesperson in the arts / education / cultural sectors and use their strong professional industry network to enhance Wac Arts.
The Director of Programmes will lead on all pedagogy of artistic programmes, (ensuring best practice, compliance, safeguarding, monitoring and reporting are continually developed and delivered) and who is confident in supporting the team in the preparing, monitoring and delivering all artistic (including inclusion) budgets and programmes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and implement a 3-5 year Strategy and plan for Wac Arts, continuing to raise the profile and impact of everything we do.
