Audition Notice – Sadler’s Wells Productions

Sadler’s Wells and Universal Music UK are auditioning dancers for a brand new production choreographed by Kate Prince (ZooNation) and inspired by the hits of one of the world’s biggest rock/pop superstars.

Audition dates
Friday 22 and Saturday 23 March 2019 in London

What we are looking for
We welcome dancers who are charismatic, highly skilled and diverse, whose abilities span more than just one genre of dance, including but not limited to contemporary, breaking, locking, popping, house dance, krump, African dance, lindy hop, salsa, experimental and freestyle.

We want to work with dancers who love to tell stories and feel comfortable doing character work. There will be a lot of ensemble work in the production and performers will need to be adaptable to different styles and able to follow choreography.

This is a barefoot production, there is no requirement to speak or sing.

We are looking for world-class dancers with the highest levels of skill.

We are committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and actively encourage applicants from different backgrounds.

Applicants must be aged 18+ at the time of the audition.

Dates of the engagement
The engagement will be from Monday 11 November 2019, with the outlook to end on Saturday 9 May 2020. This is inclusive of a 10-week rehearsal period (including production weeks), a London run at the Peacock Theatre followed by UK and International tour.

Please note that at this early stage the end date is subject to change.

Applicants must be available for both audition dates Friday 22 and Saturday 23 March.

First-round auditions will happen on Friday 22 March with call-backs on Saturday 23 March.

Please note: without a video link where you can be clearly identified we cannot progress your application.

Strictly NO ADMISSION on the day, the audition is invitation only.

Deadline for applications is 23:00 on Sunday 3 March 2019. Unfortunately, late applications cannot not be considered.
