In light of the recent developments and advice around COVID-19 we want to assure you that we are monitoring all Coronavirus updates and conditions and will update our guidelines accordingly based on information from the Government as well as public health bodies and Arts Council England. Our priority is the health and safety of our staff, visitors, students and class attendees as well as the artists and companies we work with.
We would like to share some information about the measures Dance City is undertaking to limit the spread of infection and the actions all building users can take to help us do so. For the time being all of our classes and activity will go ahead as planned.
- We encourage all building users to wash their hands on arrival and departure from the building.
- The Dance City team will be regularly disinfecting surfaces, such as the ticket office desk, the hand rails on the stairs and the door handles to the toilets and changing spaces, in addition to thorough daily cleans as normal.
- From 5pm today until further we will be recommending a minimal touch policy for our classes. This will apply to all dance classes, including dedicated partner classes, which will be adapted so that steps and routines will still be taught but without physical contact.
As per the current government and Public Health England advice, if you are concerned about symptoms, such as a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath please remain at home for 7 days, until your symptoms have passed.
We will be reviewing our position each day based on the latest information available, please check the websites for the latest updates. Do not go directly to your GP or other healthcare environment. The latest advice and developments on the COVID-19 situation can be found here.
