Class Description
Lyrical jazz is a fun and creative class, learning expressive choreography. Beginning with a cardio warm up followed by contemporary and jazz based technique exercises and stretches. Followed by learning a piece of choreography, often incorporating technique learned in the class such as kicks, leaps, turns and jumps.

What should I wear? Anything comfortable that you can move in, socks or bare feet. No shoes.

What should I bring? Bottle of water.

Rachel Arkless

Rachel has danced in dance schools in the North East from a young age and currently teaches in a wide range of classes at a dance school in Haltwhistle as well as working with Dance City. She trained at Newcastle college and did further training at university at Jelli studios. In addition to musical theatre training, she also completed a level 4 diploma in teaching of dance with the IDTA. Rachel has training in ballet, tap, commercial, heels, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, jazz and musical theatre and has a great passion for dancing and teaching helping students achieve their goals and gain confidence.
