Originating from the New Way style of Vogue, Arms Control is also its own category in ballroom. In this workshop, we will cover the elements of Arms Control - Lines, Boxes and Circles as well as understanding the art of posing and the essence of New Way -having grace, precision, and style.

Who's the artist?
Sacha Louboutin Margiela
Pronouns: she/her

Sacha Louboutin Margiela started her ballroom journey in London in 2016, first studying New Way and then Vogue Fem. She is mostly known for the categories Arms Control and Female Figure Performance, walking balls in places such as New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan and Copenhagen.

She is the trailblazer of the Manchester ballroom scene and continues to support building the ballroom communities in the North. In 2018, she became one of the first members of the UK chapter of the International Kiki House of Louboutin and in 2022, she joined the Royal House of Maison Margiela.

What should you wear?

Wear anything comfortable that allows for movement, e.g stretchy and breathable fabrics. Heels are NOT to be worn in this studio.
