What should I wear? Comfortable clothing, nothing too loose. Ballet shoes or socks. What do I need to bring? Something to tie your hair back if you have long hair.

Who is the class for? Absolute beginners to those who have knowledge and can execute the basic elements of a Ballet class and those who are happy turning and jumping a little.. Absolute beginners should expect to attend the class for a few weeks before feeling like they understand the steps.

Teacher Amy Becke.

Amy gained her BA Hons degree from Ballet West Scotland in 2019. During her time at the school, Amy was offered an apprenticeship with the Ballet West Scotland Touring Company where she travelled to Malaysia to perform Swan Lake. Amy completed her RAD Advanced Two receiving a high distinction. Amy then went on to study for a year at Ballet Cymru on their pre-professional programme, before moving back home to South Shields to complete her Masters here at Dance City. Since graduating, Amy has worked with North East based companies as a freelance dancer and performance Artist.
