About
Extraordinarily magical dance theatre made especially for children and families.
Using the brilliantly abstract work of artist Joan Miro as inspiration, choreographer Enrique Cabrera fills his imaginary blank canvas with vivid colours, shape and movement. Wonderful dance, ingenious puppetry and terrific digital visuals are delivered with the company's trademark playfulness, creativity and style.
“Breathtakingly beautiful. My 4 year old commented Wow it’s magic.” Aracaladanza production Nubes (Couds), 2012
Join us for free pre & post show craft activities in our foyer 2-3pm & 4-5pm
You are welcome to come and join us before or after the performance to help us to create an art installation inspired by the amazing Spanish Surrealist painter Joan Miró or simply join us to paint your own Miró-inspired masterpiece, to be displayed in the Dance City building and posted on the MOKO Dance and Dance City’s websites and Facebook pages.
Free Creative Dance Workshop
We are offering the opportunity for children aged 4-7 to come along to a workshop exploring themes from the Aracaladanza's performance of Constellations. Places are FREE to Constellations ticket holders, and offered on a first come first served basis. The workshop is perfect for children who have lots of energy and enthusiasm. To book a place visit our Classes and Workshop section.
These activities are free and open to all fun and art-loving people and suitable for children 4+ and grown-ups alike. Children must be accompanied by parents at all times. No booking is required for these activities.
