About
This event has been postponed due to the current situation regarding the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Collective is a brand new touring, postgraduate company based at Dance City Newcastle and Sunderland. This dynamic new company will be performing works made especially for The Collective by some of the most exciting and relevant physical theatre companies of today, including Lost Dog and Mischief Company.
David Lloyd (Mischief Company) - Neverland (2019)
Originally commissioned and produced by Jasmin Vardimon Company for JV2 touring to Sadler’s Wells, Northcott Theatre and Gulbenkian, Neverland brings together two famous stories Lord of the Flies by William Golding and Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie. This exciting and dynamic work will have audiences’ hearts racing with a beautiful but brutal landscape of power play and an adventure worth fighting for. Get ready for the adventure of your life….
Lost Dog – The Seagull(s)
Lost Dog was formed in 2004 by Ben Duke and Raquel Meseguer with the aim of creating work that was both theatre and dance. Lost Dog’s work has always been inspired by stories but more recently the company has made the use of existing stories an explicit part of their artistic process. This brand new piece for The Collective is created by Chris Evans and Rachele Rapisardi in collaboration with Lost Dog Artistic Director Ben Duke.
