Dance City student Kate Pilbeam, will be joining leading innovative dance company Tavaziva.
Kate was a student with our Centre for Advanced Training before moving onto the BA (Hons) Degree in Dance Professional Practice. In 2014 she was our Lord of the Flies dance ambassador, working with Dance City to coordinate the project and to run the workshops and auditions. She’s now in her final year and will graduate in May 2016, but will be gracing our stage with Tavaziva in February for their gorgeous dance production of Africarmen, a modern twist on Bizet’s opera Carmen.
Neville Campbell, Head of Centre for Advanced Training said:
“We are delighted that Kate has been offered this fantastic opportunity to work with a leading contemporary dance company. She is a very talented young dancer who will no doubt work extremely hard and make everyone at Dance City very proud. We look forward to seeing her perform with Tavaziva Dance Company at Dance City in February”.
All of us at Dance City are incredibly proud and can’t wait to see her in Africarmen!
