Class description:
A Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance and music. It was created in Brazil mainly by descendants of African slaves with Brazilian native influence, probably beginning in the 16th century. In this class you’ll develop endurance, physical conditioning and mental balance through a unique mix of martial arts, dance, game, music and acrobatics. Capoeira is open to everyone and during this class you will learn complex moves using power and speed to leverage leg sweeps.

What should I bring:?
Bottle of water, towel.
What should I wear:?
Comfortable clothing. Socks or bare feet.
Teacher: Jimi McAvoy
Jimi has been practising and teaching martial arts for over 30 years and has been playing Capoeira for over 15 years. At the Senzala North East Batizado 2012, Jimi was awarded the Brown Cord (Contra Mestre) as recognition of his hard work and dedication to Capoeira over the past 25 years
