Featuring boys, birds and snow, Bird with Boy is a dance theatre piece about things that end before they should. The audience is led into specially designed rooms where they will encounter dance, live music and song. There are three professional dancers and two live musicians in Bird with boy and we are auditioning for six boys to dance in the piece alongside the professional cast.

We are looking for boys aged between 9 -14. Some experience of dance and performance is preferred but not essential.

There will be a two hour audition during which the directors Jessica and Megan Kennedy will lead a short class with task based exercises and try out some lifting and running off walls! We hope you can join us for the audition.

After audition, Eddie Kay, our movement facilitator and one of the professional dancers, will work with the boys on two separate occasions leading up to the performance. On the day before the performances, the directors Megan and Jessica Kennedy will work with the boys alongside the rest of the cast in the location of the performance. There will be two performances per day.
