Kick Off is a light-hearted piece about football, friendship and fantasy. It delves into the world of football to tackle gender stereotypes and challenge perceptions through the games played by two friends.

 

Using football as its inspiration, the piece has been devised in collaboration with Middlesbrough Football in the Community Project and with the assitance of young people from local schools.

Dealing beautifully with issues such as stereotyping, motivation, and competitiveness the company has succeeded in creating a show that inspires young audiences - with a note for the grown ups too! Injuries and arguements, winners and losers, rules and tactics are all explored. Suitable for 7-11 year olds.
