Lab Space

Dance City is delighted to further its continuing commitment to artists developing their work in the North East by announcing the second edition of ‘Lab Space’

From August  through to December 2010, Dance City will be offering artist’s blocks of space in the Dance Lab without charge.

As with the initial outing of this scheme, there will be no onus for artists to share work at the end of their stay. The whole process of ‘Lab Space’ has been designed as research time for artists to try things out, take risks and engage in their creative process in a private environment without any pressure of performance or sharing of the process.

The Lab Space scheme is also offering artists taking up this opportunity to access 1 day of free technical support from Dance City’s technical team and a half day of artistic support.
